Animals and plants often play a central role in the murals of Alain Welter because he aims to highlight the importance of nature and its diversity. In this piece, he depicts a stork, which has not been seen in Luxembourg for a long time. It first returned in Schifflange as a visitor, and now, shortly after the renaturation of the 'Uelzecht' river, also as a breeding bird after 150 years.
