Biography
MOIEN
Alain Welter, muralist and illustrator from Luxembourg, has made a name for himself both locally and internationally through his unique artistic style. After studying Illustration Design at BTK in Berlin, he returned to Luxembourg, where he became deeply rooted in the local art scene. One of his most notable projects and breakthrough was "Make Koler Kooler," where he transformed his hometown, Koler (Kahler), into an urban art museum, showcasing large-scale murals that added color and vibrancy to the village.
Welter's work extends beyond murals; he has designed buses, published his own book and realized many projects for big companies, such as stamps for the Luxembourgish national postal service. He has held solo exhibitions in art galleries and contributed to several charity projects. His ability to blend artistic expression with public space has brought him widespread recognition.
Over the years, Alain has expanded his artistic reach beyond Luxembourg, leaving his mark in countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Belgium, Poland, United Kingdom, Brazil, Colombia, Sweden, Germany, Serbia, Turkey, India, Cape Verde and Benin.

Alain’s art continues to evolve and bring attention not only to his home country but also to his growing presence in the global art scene. His work is celebrated for its playful, imaginative approach and its ability to blend cultural influences from his travels into visually striking pieces.

Alain Welter’s art increasingly adresses environmental issues such as climate change, biodiversity, and the protection of plants and animals. Through his vibrant, surreal depictions of nature and wildlife, he invites viewers to pause and reflect on these critical topics. His work encourages contemplation and aims to spark a deeper awareness of our environmental responsibilities.
